Chiefs coach Ian Foster has pointed to the Chiefs massive fall from grace in the 2010 season which saw them drop from 2nd place in 2009 to finishing in 11th place in 2010.
The Chiefs started their 2010 campaign strongly on the road but once they arrived back home in Hamilton the wobble started and finished with them not being able to win a match all season at home.
Coach Ian Foster must once again deal with the calls for his head that have marked much of his tenure.
"Everyone's allowed their view and I can understand people saying that," Foster told The Sunday News, before pointing to the massive injury toll the Chiefs have endured.
"It's a pretty natural reaction but from our side of the coin it's asking people to be a bit realistic with what we've had to deal with this campaign.
"It has been the most unusual season I've ever had and in spite of that I still think there's been some good stuff come out of it."
