Bath moved into the play off places by beating London Wasps by 19 points to 35 in front of a 60,000 strong crowd at Twickenham.

Bath scored four tries to one against London Wasps at Twickenham in the match which has put them in fourth place on the Premiership table.

Bath's last game of the season is at home to Leeds, who could secure their Premiership place for next season against Worcester on Sunday, while Wasps visit Newcastle on the last day.

Danny Cipriani opened the scoring as he slotted two early penalties to put Wasps ahead, but Bath were in the lead eight minutes later as Olly Barkley's penalty was followed by a try from Joe Maddock.

Wasps kept in touch with Bath thanks to Cipriani's goal-kicking but a second try from Maddock led the visitors to a nine-point advantage at the break.

Two tries around the hour mark from Maddock, completing his hat-trick, and Barkley secured the result for Bath.

A late try from Ben Jacobs was nothing more than a consolation as Wasps slumped to a defeat.
