The Crusaders leave Perth headed for South Africa knowing that they missed a golden chance to take the top spot in the Super 14 and pick up five points before they head for South Africa where they will face the Bulls and Stormers who are also top four teams.
Despite leading 13-0 lead by half-time the Crusaders only managed one drop goal to Dan Carter in the second half and the Force racked up 24 points.
Blackadder says that he was disappointed with the performance, but is now focused on turning it around in a nightmare fortnight in South Africa against the Stormers and then the Bulls before returning home to finish the season hosting the Brumbies.
"We are capable of beating them. They are two really good sides and I know that our guys really get excited by that." Blackadder said.
"In this competition if you aren’t quite on your game you can get beaten," he told Sky.
"We are used to travelling and we are used to performing away from home even though this is the first time we've been on the road all season.
"Our guys will prepare and look forward to it. It's an exciting challenge for us, not a daunting one by any means."
Blackadder felt that even though the Crusaders led 13-0 at the break he felt that it was mainly because the Force had not taken the their chances.
"I thought we were probably pretty lucky to be 13 points up because they had a lot of field position, possession and missed a lot of kicks. It just shows you that 13-nil is not enough and you've got to hold onto the ball," he said.
"The Force played really well. I was more disappointed with our lack of possession. We had a lot of ball but we just kept turning it over and we kept giving them the ball back."
Blackadder and the Crusaders will now focus on how to keep hold of possession ahead of the clash with the Stormers this Friday and then the Bulls the following week.
"We will focus on the key areas we need to get right in our game. If we get them right, then the results will take care of themselves. We have to hold onto the ball and when you turnover 62 per cent of your possessions it's just too high," Blackadder said.
"We made 23 mistakes in the game and that's too many errors. We've still got an opportunity and we're excited about the great teams ahead of us to play."
Crusaders captain Richie McCaw also spoke of his frustration after the Force played so well particularly David Pocock who McCaw was up against but he said that he was confident of turning it around in the two toughest road matches in Super 14 rugby.
"The Force played really well. They dominated the breakdown and didn't give us any clean ball at all, and we had to defend a lot because we turned it over. McCaw said.
" They have some good players in their team, so we expected a tough match and we certainly got it," he added.
"We've been over there before and if you go in thinking it will be tough, then it will be. If you focus on getting your week right and going out to play rugby, it's no different to when you are playing at home really.
"We're looking forward to two good opportunities."
