Northampton Saints beat Leeds Carnegie in the second half of their clash at Headingley Carnegie on Saturday as they snatched a 14-7 win.

The Saints hit the front in the sixth minute through Stephen Myler, who slotted a penalty following the sin-binning of Leeds flanker Kearnan Myall.

However, Leeds were ahead after 29 minutes as Juan Gomez scored the opening try before Ceiron Thomas slotted the conversion to give the hosts a four-point lead at the break.

The second half was dominated by the Saints as they wiped out Leeds' lead before forging a seven-point win.

Myler gave the visitors the lead with two penalties after the break before Ben Foden's try sealed the win for Northampton.
