Gloucester crushed Sale 47-3 in a seven-try demolition in their Guinness Premiership match at Kingsholm on Saturday.
The opening half of the clash was one-way traffic from the kick-off as Gloucester surged 26 points clear in only 27 minutes, scoring four unanswered tries.
In only the sixth minute the hosts were awarded a penalty try which Nicky Robinson converted with ease, before four minutes later the score read 14-0 as Lesley Vainikolo opened his scoring with his side's second converted try.
Sale didn't seem to have any answers for the relentless Gloucester attack and conceded two more tries before the break. Vainikolo crashed over for his second five-pointer of the match before Akapusi Qera put the tie virtually out of the visitors' reach in the 27th minute with the bonus-point try.
The Sharks finally put points on the board two minutes before the interval as Charlie Hodgson slotted the game's first penalty.
However, Gloucester's victory was secured in the 64th minute as fly-half Robinson scored and converted his own try, but the rout continued still as James Simpson-Daniel scored the hosts' sixth try before Andy Hazell rounded off the crushing win with a try six minutes from time.
